How I met my man

We met at work! At first, we kept a professional distance, until our relationship turned into friendship. It didn’t take long to realize how much we meant to each other.

  Then, he proposed…

I would like to keep this to ourselves. But I will reveal this… I said yes! We got married during the summer, on the beautiful island of Sifnos, in the chapel of Panagia Chryssopigi.

If I had to choose one favorite moment!

There would be a lot! The preparations at the hotel… Our hosting was the most amazing one I could imagine, they made it feel like home for us. The orchestra was a complete surprise, and we had so much fun on the way to the small harbor… People from the local shops as well as the ones on the beach started dancing with us. It felt like a beautiful local celebration!!

I have more to share! Like when Captain Constantis (a special surprise for me, arranged by my relatives), took me to the church on a beautiful boat, while burning squibs!!

The wedding ceremony was officiated by the father of the groom (who is a priest), which made it more meaningful to us. Also, the local dancers gave our reception a pure island “glenti” (a Greek word for party)… and also the cheerfulness of our friends! I loved everything about our wedding!!

The best wedding decision I ever made… and also the worst one!

The best was definitely the location, the island of Sifnos! We haven’t regretted a thing, so I don’t have a bad one in mind!

 Magic lies in the details

It was definitely colorful! I can’t name a specific wedding style, it was a bit undefined but vaguely beautiful. During the preparations, we didn’t have a particular wedding theme in mind.. just the island and that we wanted to keep it simple!

I would like to describe my bridal bouquet in detail, but I’m not so good with flowers! There were certainly peonies!

Oh, my wedding dress!

My dress was like a fantasy, and it suited the wedding on a Greek island location perfectly! It was carefully tailored, it had a traditional vibe and included all the special details that I had requested.

The experience was great. I was assisted in the best way in the Atelier, especially by Melina and I also have much appreciation for the woman who made the embroidery in crochet by hand. It was an exceptional piece of work!

Some details I liked were the guest book that became filled with beautiful wishes, the beautifully decorated table at the church, our party bracelets, the rice that contained colorful details, the wedding favors, the boat, the instruments, the dancers at the church after the ceremony… the wedding invitations, the sweets…! Maybe everything!!

If I could give some advice to a bride-to-be…

Be relaxed. Just take everything as it comes! I didn’t have great expectations, nor did I plan everything out to the last detail, so in the end, everything unfolded like a beautiful dream!

I would like to thank the following people, for turning my dream into a wedding reality…
