How I met my man

We met in a bar in the city of Patra, through a mutual friend who is now our best man!

Then, he proposed…

It all happened as I had just woken up one morning. It couldn’t have been more spontaneous and natural!

Magic lies in the details

We got married in Patra, at the chapel of Pantocratoras.

The wedding style was vintage, in earth tones combined with burgundy (marsala, to be exact). As for my bridal bouquet, there were roses and chrysanthemums among others… I’m not a flower expert so I just held it with pride as it was so beautiful!

Besides the church decoration and the flowers that I needed for my wedding, all the rest was handmade by my mother. We emphasized on details in crochet lace, in keeping with the concept and style of the wedding dress, something that reflected my personal taste.

The best wedding decision I ever made… and also the worst one!

Everything went as planned, without any surprises. The best decision we ever made was to give everything a personal touch. We took care of every detail of the decoration ourselves, as well as the wedding favors. This way we kept everything simple, just as we like things to be. As a result, we felt very connected to the place where our reception took place. All the people I chose to collaborate with, were true professionals and extremely helpful.

If I had to choose one favorite moment!

The moment my father gave me away to my husband to be.

If I could give some advice to a bride-to-be…

Not to be anxious. Not as a cliché, but for real. It is a great party, you have your family with you, your beloved friends and relatives, which doesn’t happen every day. We weren’t stressed even for a moment during that day. So we had a lot of fun! All you need is good planning.

Oh, my wedding dress!

My Phillys dress… what can I say! When I first saw it, I got excited! I could tell that this was my style. Whatever dress I tried on anywhere else didn’t appeal to me. It was breezy, light… I never got tired of wearing it. It combined quality fabrics and a unique design. During the wedding everyone was impressed… and first of all my husband! I don’t think I could have chosen anything better!!

The Zolotas experience was amazing! A beautiful environment and exceptional service. The wedding gown I received was impeccable. It was worth the journey to Athens, just to visit Atelier Zolotas. Oh, and I mustn’t forget to mention that Sarah, my wedding consultant was great!!

I would like to thank the following people, for turning my dream into a wedding reality…
