How I met my man

The classic story… Mutual acquaintances is what brought us together!

Then, he proposed…

He proposed to me on a beautiful balcony in the picturesque neighborhood of Vaporia, in Syros. It is a beautiful location with old stately mansions, built in the 19th century. If I can make it more idyllic, it was a night with a full moon and it was the perfect setting!

If I had to choose one favorite moment!

When Dimitris, breaking the tradition, came to my Asteras suite, and drove me to the church himself! This way we went to the church together, to get married to each other.

Magic lies in the details

We got married at the church of Saint Panteleimon in Glyfada, near the golf club on July 19th.

The wedding theme was Vintage Chic, with details in lace and burlap in the palette of white and burlap beige. We wanted our wedding to be connected with the island of Syros and its mediterranean character.

A distinctive detail that I can single out were the small jars filled with “loukoumia” delights, a traditional sweet made in Syros! These were our wedding favors!

My wedding bouquet included peonies, roses and a beautiful blossom that looks like chamomile!

The best wedding decision I ever made… and also the worst one!

We really liked the connection between our wedding concept and Syros island! It was ideally expressed in my wedding dress, as well as the decorations. The selection of professionals who helped us, especially our photographer -who still allows us to relive that beautiful day of ours with his stunning work.

If I could give some advice to a bride-to-be…

It is difficult to predict all the mishaps of a wedding, no matter how well you have planned and organized the event! So just try to enjoy it and be stress-free!

Oh, my wedding dress!

I liked it, as it was my personal choice. I didn’t feel like I carried it when I wore it. I believe that it suited me, something that our nearest and dearest also confirmed!

The Atelier Zolotas personnel made things very easy for me… They understood exactly what I needed because they are professionals. I could very well become friends with my wedding consultant, Melina! I still have her business card… we were discussing the prospect of removing the train, so that I had the chance to wear it again, but for the time being, I don’t have the heart to do it, I want to keep it as it is!

I would like to thank the following people, for turning my dream into a wedding reality…
