How I met my man

I met him at school, in 1999. Those were the days!!

Then, he proposed…

It was not so much a wedding proposal, but more of a mutual decision to spend our lives together, after living under the same roof for 10 years!

We got married on January 7th, at the church of Saint Andreas, in Patras.

The best wedding decision I ever made… and also the worst one!

The choice of wedding dress… I could never have found a gown that suited my personality and true colors better than the one I chose! I wouldn’t change it for the world! There wasn’t a single decision that was bad… after all, it was the day I married my man.

Magic lies in the details

The wedding style was Vintage-Rustic! Beige and brown colors reigned supreme. We also accentuated my grandmother’s table mats in crochet, as well as natural elements, such as wood, cotton, pine cones, chestnuts, walnuts, and acorns!

Generally, there were no real flowers… my bridal bouquet was handmade, made out of silk flowers and lace. The ceremonial candles were beautiful…

The centerpieces consisted of three candles wrapped in natural cotton, with decorative dried flowers and nuts! The classic guestbook was replaced with cards where every one of our guests wrote down their wishes, using a pencil in the form of a tree-trunk. After that, they put their card inside a glass bottle and sealed it with a cork!

If I could give some advice to a bride-to-be…

Trust her instinct, plan everything she needs herself and take, along with her husband, every decision themselves. And it’s always better to keep the wedding theme subtle and simple!

If I had to choose one favorite moment!

There was something really special about that day… It snowed in Patras for the first time after so many years! We will never forget it.

One of my favorite moments was when the priest interrupted the ceremony to congratulate me -in a low voice- on my choice of a wedding dress! He particularly said to me that he had never seen such unique workmanship in a ceremony before! To him, it was something completely new and unique.

Oh, my wedding dress!

It was wonderful, comfortable, elegant, impressive and chic, with high-quality fabrics! I would even wear it to my second wedding, hahaha!

I was impressed by the whole collection of gowns and I truly liked all the designs… I consider Atelier Zolotas to be totally distinctive from anything else I have ever seen, and truly innovative.

Apart from the collection, we were impressed by the friendliness of the people who make up the team of Atelier Zolotas, especially their courtesy. I would like to thank Nektarios and Melina in particular… We would also like to thank Angeliki, for the presentation of our wedding story!

I would like to thank the following people, for turning my dream into a wedding reality…
