This is a very different photo shoot, whose inspiration and delivery we owe to the First Comes Love fair. Conceived and styled by Bloom Tribe and Turtle & the Pelican and photographed by Anthea Auld Photographer, the shoot took place at Ferguson Foundry in Perth, Western Australia.

When a group of talented people gets together things get creative… This styled shoot is about doing things in your own different way (anyone hear Sinatra singing?). Brides can be romantic and sweet, but they can also be edgy, inked and beautiful.

We have a -proven- theory that the Hellenic Vintage collection can be transformed through different women, like a chameleon. But we always love to put this theory to the test and see what happens, since the result is always unexpected! And as we already had handmade gowns, we also wanted real love! For this purpose, we picked a real-life couple.

Zolotas Australia boutique provided the wedding gowns that were chosen from the Hellenic Vintage -Arathea dress- and the Hellenic Vintage Crop Top -Hera dress & A-line skirt.

We wanted to let the real-life couple speak for themselves about the collection… After their modeling experience, it was about time to also give an interview! Read their impressions below!

-How did you feel wearing dresses from the Hellenic Vintage collection?

Anna: The dresses in the Hellenic vintage collection were absolutely stunning, I felt very privileged that I was chosen to wear the dresses. They were such beautiful designs …it was a nice feeling to know I was getting to be a part of such an awesome experience.
-Did you like the dresses from the HVC that your girlfriend wore? What did you like about them?
Neil: Yes, because they were well fitted and had intricate detail, they were very elegant and the dresses suited the theme of the venue and shoot well.

-What is the style and personality of a bride that would choose a dress from the collection?

Anna: I honestly think that any bride could wear a dress from this collection, I think a very formal bride would look very elegant in these dresses, but I also think that someone a little edgy like myself could make a dress like that look very flattering too.

There are so many different designs… I think the dress range would suit anyone and any venue.
-What were your feelings seeing your girlfriend in the wedding dresses?
Neil: Happiness… she looked beautiful and it brought a smile to my face.
-Which wedding dress did you like the most? Why?

Anna: The dress I liked the most was the Arathea dress. I was lucky enough to actually wear it at the end of the photoshoot for a short time, and the photographer suddenly wanted to partake in a mini shoot.

I loved the Arathea design as it was very beautiful to look at, but it also fitted my body shape perfectly.

I loved all the intricate lace and detail…
The sections of the dress that were see-through were so elegant but also gave a slightly sexy look to the dress. As I kind of like the edgy look, I liked it that such an elegant dress like Arathea could look so edgy with my back tattoo showing… but still so feminine and elegant.

-Wearing the Arathea dress where do you imagine your wedding to take place?

I imagine that if I was to wear the Arathea dress in my own wedding, I would have it in a venue similar to the venue we had the photo shoot, with a very minimalist look. I would also keep the flower arrangement simple, so I could show the dress off.
Otherwise, I would have my wedding in a very vintage looking venue!
-Neil, she is gorgeous! Why haven’t you proposed yet?!
Neil: I don’t need to, I just got married. She can wait now ;p
